Chitrakote Resort by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board

Chhattisgarh Tourism Board is proud to launch its luxurious new properties all across the State. These new motels and resorts have been developed with a view to provide excellent accommodation facilities for the visitors. Since the inception of the new State of Chhattisgarh an acute shortage of good quality tourist infrastructure was being felt. But now with the advent of these properties, the tourists can enjoy their visits to the remote destinations.
We will be taking a detailed look at the important properties in the subsequent editions of this blog.
The premier property of the Tourism Board is the magnificent resort at the famous Chitrakote waterfalls just 40 kms from Jagdalpur in the Bastar region of the State. The Chitrakote Resort boast of 12 spacious cottages perched on the edge of the scenic gorge overlooking the waterfall. Each of the cottages offers a breathtaking view of the waterfalls. All the rooms are air conditioned, spacious and have well furnished bathrooms. A sprawling lawn with excellent landscaping refreshes your senses. Currently, in room catering is on and a beautiful two storied restaurant will also be operational shortly.
You can reach Chitrakote Resort by road from Jagdalpur. The nearest rail-head is Jagdalpur and the nearest Airport is Raipur (340 kms). The best way to reach this place is to fly down to Raipur, as it is well connected with most of the important cities and then drive down to Chitrakote.
